Published: Pope AFB, North Carolina, October 1994
Methodology: A comparison of Fayetteville’s D.A.R.E. program based on 1,704 students in grades six, eight, and ten with other national studies.

Findings: D.A.R.E. had a positive effect on the Fayetteville City students. The majority of D.A.R.E.-trained students were less likely to engage in drug use vs. non-D.A.R.E. students. These findings were similar to other national studies with students in the same grades.
